Come join the Lawrence County ESC’s Literacy Lead, Julie Mayo, for an informal book study series on Judith C. Hochman and Natalie Wexler’s book The Writing Revolution – a guide to advancing thinking through writing in all subjects and grades. Grounded in research and described as a truly revolutionary resource, The Writing Revolution presents a variety of writing strategies and easy-to-implement practices that have been known to improve writing, critical thinking and reading skills. Topics include a deep dive into sentences, note-taking, planning before writing, writing and revising a draft, summarizing, paragraph outlines, argumentative essays, assessing student writing, and much more!
